Rosary Vespers was proudly offered to the Blessed Mother by His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso

Rosary Vespers for Blessed Mother, presided over by the Holy Apostle, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, was conducted with grandeur in the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake, on 5th October 2013. The Rosary Vespers, which was conducted on that day, was proudly offered to the Blessed Mother, the Our Lady of Katunayake.

This Statue of Blessed Mother Mary, which was initially placed in the Apparition Church Grounds, on 12th February 1984, is expected to be placed at an upper position on the face of the newly constructed Apparition Church.

People, arrived very early from various places without any religious differences, to participate in the Rosary Vespers, which was conducted in the evening of 5th October 2013, at the feet of the Statue of Blessed Mother, before it was removed from the location where it was placed.

At the end of Rosary Vespers, devotees were seen queuing up holding flower bouquets, hoping to offer them at the feet of the Statue of Blessed Mother, before this Statue, which is binding the hearts of the people for a period of close upon to 30 years, leaves them. It was also seen all of them inclining their eyes towards this Statue of Blessed Mother Mary.

The Sanctuary of Blessed Mother and the Sanctuary for the Holy Apostle, which was erected in close proximity to the Sanctuary of Blessed Mother, was completely decorated by using fresh flowers. The flower decorations were carried out by a reputed company, which is well known for flower arrangements. Mr. Sashika Vishan, the Media Spokesman of the Apostolic Media Networks, totally sponsored the flower arrangements.

A law that treats everyone equally is not reasonable. Yet, the law that treats everyone reasonably is the supreme law – says Most Holy Apostle

“A law is not merely a clause or a few clauses that are built up of words. It is a mechanism full of life that builds a law abiding society. Therefore, a law that treats everyone equally is not reasonable. Yet, the law that treats everyone reasonably is the supreme law.”

His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso reflected the above on Sunday 11th May 2014 when he met the officials of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine.

During the course of this meeting which was held in the Apostolic Residence, Apostle Aponso, described the responsibility that lies on the Most Sacred Apostleship, by extracting the words of Lord Jesus Christ from the Holy Bible.

"Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men (Matthew 16/23)

The Most Holy Apostle further explained the above words that Lord Jesus Christ has mentioned to Apostle Peter. “If people get used to think in the manner that God thinks, then, such people will obviously get frightened to commit sins”

Elaborating it further the Most Holy Apostle emphasized that we will definitely have to face repercussion for each and every sin that we commit. He further reflected that we ourselves will get frightened when we see the way certain people are doing things because such things are totally sinful acts. Therefore, we ourselves will obviously get frightened when we think the terrible repercussion they have to face for the sinful acts that they commit. Hence the Most Holy Apostle made the officials of the Shrine aware of repercussion of sins.

“During the period of your journey of life, do not forget anyone who lends you a helping hand. Likewise, if you only remember the person who lends you a helping hand, then, it is of no use unless you make him feel that you remember him.” The Most Holy Apostle also highlighted the importance of paying gratitude.

Speaking at the occasion Mr. Manoj Chinthaka, the Director of the Apostolic See Media Networks, commended the dedicated service of the officials of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine. Speaking further he said out of them 3 officials were selected for their distinctive service and they will be presented with gifts by the Most Holy Apostle.

Accordingly Mr. Stefan Pereira, Mr. Ranga Prasad Perera and Mr. Venerius Fernando received their gifts from His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso.

Mr. Sashika Vishan, the Media Spokesman of the Apostolic See Media Networks who spoke subsequently said that the Apostolic Media Networks will be expanded by using the electronic media to spread the message of Most Holy Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, who was chosen and appointed by Lord Jesus Christ Himself.

At the end of the meeting the Most Holy Apostle presented gifts to all officials of the Shrine.
